I can sit and write
To my heart's content
I can fill the page
Whilst waiting for
The rain to stop,
Its trickle and slop
A distraction of sorts,
Roughly abiding
Its badly hewn edges.
I can close my eyes
And still hope to die.

Nice to have you back. But I'm siding with "R" and Clairebest. nice poem though, but why so depressing?

Because you've got to write about depressing stuff sometimes, haven't you? I dunno what prompted this one. Just a random thought on disillusionment I guess. Thanks for the comment, Jeannie.
