A prophet of beastiality,
incapable of living clean?
Such a person should be incarcerated,
& then to throw away the key.

My boss is who I speak of,
that is who i mean.
Ducks for cover when things go wrong,
& shoves the blame to me.

Duck-shover you think to yourself,
a foul & degenerate fiend.
It's my workplace I speak of you fool,
your imagination is obscene!

Coming from an Anglo-Celtic backgroud I have an interest in English history though being of a working class environment my interest is higher than general knowledge but not so accute as to be termed historian.
I can be somewhat political & playing the Devil's Advocate on occasions gives people a false perception of my ideals.

Upon Reflection
In retrospect it is not a good idea to insult the reader of your work by addressing them as 'fool', not even in jest.
More over, given the second verse explains the title, the third verse should have been in the past tense.

ozpink - answering with a quote from the text 'My boss is who I speak of,
that is who i mean.'

That's terrible that he does such a thing to you. This sounds like a blog though. It just doesn't seem poetic and tainted with anger impatience. The reader will laugh at 'duck shover' thing ;). Not to seem rude but overall if you take this deeply this portrays you as weak and helplessly subordinated. Taken this, suggest you hint deaper meaning and strengthen your emotional connection with the reader.
