you brought me to your lips
the glowing at my tip
as you breathed in
the unadulterated ecstasy.

the slow burning,
you consume me hungrily
of puffs greater than before.
flickers of hot ash

in mid-breath nonchalance,
your fingers eased me out
of your warm parted lips,
i am left suspended.

you exhaled one last breath
a cloud of expired delirium,
against the old cruddy ashtray
you put out my fire.

the romance
The romantic symbolism of cigarette smoking. Very smooth and full of good imagery. I look forward to more. =D
