Masako Kunikida, a teenage elfen girl, is just trying to celebrate her 16th birthday like a normal person. But, while at the nearby river, she is deliberately hit on the head with a large rock and falls in. She awakens, not on her death bed, but on a sofa in a strange house. There, she meets five other teenagers. She is later told that she is the last remaining member of an elite warrior team chosen by a prophecy. Learning that her last family members were assassinated and having nowhere to go, she joins the group. In this group, there is Nissho Ugaki, the boy who saved Masako, Chiyo Amori, the ditz who handles a machine gun, Meiji Nakanda, the genius that has too much trouble with nitra glycerin, Sumiko Uchida, the fire priestess of mystery, and Kinji Matsuzaya, the sick pervert withthis symbol ->& on his shirt. There job is to collect sacred Synthalia crystals to fulfill the prophecy. Encounters include Kinji's twisted older brother, Chiyo's old school rival, and the man who mercilessly slaughtered Masako's entire family.
