NYNewcomer is an e-zine geared toward those who are facing the challenges associated with relocating to the metro New York City area and their identities in a new landscape.

The target audience is primarily recent arrivals, yet anyone who still feels on the outside of the New York experience is welcome to submit. NYNewcomer seeks writers to share their first person accounts, reflections, experiences and stories.

Our readers understand the helplessness and pressure felt during the transition and early time of choice, responsibility and self-doubt. We strive to inform and entertain our readers’ varied interests, tastes and concerns by introducing writers that might not otherwise have a forum.

We seek thoughtful essays, provocative fiction, profiles, neighborhood perspectives, and film reviews, written in an accessible style and voice.

We are also seeking Spanish bilingual columnists for The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens.
