The dark house on the corner
A stranger in the rain
Whispers heard in an empty room
Arenít we all just a little

A clock ticking backwards
Footsteps in the night
Curtains rippling in a breeze
Though the windows are all shut tight

A mysteriously inexplicable sound
A pianoís haunting tune
A chilling presence in the air
The blackness of night with no moon

The secret of the Ouji board
The figure in yellowed lace
The answer to a fearful question
When They vanish without a trace

When the veil between worlds wanes thin,
Are the unseen really there?
Or is it simply a manifestation
Of hidden fears, dreams and dares?

Perhaps the answer to that question
Isnít as far as first thought
For if you listen close enough
They will tell you the right from the naught

And the dark house on the corner?
The stranger in the rain?
The whispers heard in an empty room?
Prove weíre all just a little insane.
