Down and around the antique mountain bend
As we worry and wend through this visceral glen
Sink into wheat fields that ripple with fish
Our goals transform as we change what we wish
Wondering to lie awake to dream to dare to die
I kissed a curious kitten who was laying in the rye
Her claws caught my arm as her colors caught my eye
My head turned on its own as distraction slipped by
A simple swing of russet hips
Twirly red head on her lips
Butterfly toe window tips
I kiss thee up on the very lisp that stains the speech and drowns that script
Adoring Annie, I curtsy before divinity, the beautiful androgynous animal
Weighing heavily, blessed with levity, I convert ancient cannibals
Descriptions get warped time after time,
Words are wasted when the only comprehension is mine
So I utter old lines from enlightened humanity
And look close to reveal underlying calamity
From what was said, I suspect human genius is another form of insanity

Words are wasted...
You've got some really cool wording there. Even your rhyming pattern grabbed my attention.
well done.

A poet
Some poems inspire me to write more myself.. this piece just made me want to give it all up... this is art few could equal, least of all me, it's truly amazing.

You are a poet.
