We all grow up believing we have a normal life along with a normal family. We think we have some great ability to look at others and see their faults and the reasons they have them. You don't feel snobbish about this fact,it is just a fact.Well what happens when your ability to see this finally slaps you in the face and you see your life for what it really is?You didn't have a normal family,it just wasn't obvious to you.So is your life as normal as you thought it was all along? Are you just as troubled as all those other people you had figured out over the years? Were people looking at you the way you were looking at them?Do you feel some need to go back and make apologies to these people?"Hey I'm sorry about judging you and blaming all your problems on your dysfunctional family,by the way I had one too".HYPOCRITE!No one likes the word and certainly doesn't want to be called that let alone think of themselves that way.I cannot imagine how many times I looked at other families and I was relieved that we didn't have their "problems".I would tell myself we're lucky. Now looking back I wonder how I made it through not seeing my life for what it was.Thank God I remember being happy amd that is what I want for my children.I want them to be happy and enjoy their youth. One thing,I do not want them to look at people the way I did.The way the world is,no one has a perfect family or upbringing. We just have to take the hand we're dealt and decide what kind of adult life we will make for ourselves.

I enoyed reading the editorial you wrote about life. There is a lot of abnormal
families in this world. I myself, have abnormal people in my family, but I take the good along with the bad, and pray for them and their situations. If I can't love them and accept them for who they are and what they are, then I wouldn't have God living inside of me, because God is love. There are some families that are blessed to have a normal life, but every-one situation is different.

Be bless
