Took The Blame
September 26th, 2001 - September 28th, 2001

She gave him a ray of light
So he could find his way
She gave him a piece of her life
And he threw it all away

She gave him a thought
So he could think about what he did
She twisted his words in a knot
And sand drew back his eyelid

She gave him piece of mind
So he could stay sane
She wanted him to remind
And he could only complain

She gave him a song
So he could hear his name
She helped him to belong
And he instead took the blame

...i close my eyes in order to see...

You described perfectly the inner workings of a past experience of mine... I like this poem a lot not only because it reminds me of my past but because it's simplicity could not have decribed the situation any better. Keep posting.
