You kept me from sleep last night..

The warm glow of the stars,
reflect the comfort of your eyes.

The steady sway of the breeze,
echoed the presence of your laughter.

The chirping of the crickets beside my window,
pained me with the thought of your tears.

The moon, the very center of your soul,
cast shadows of your pale skin, and eases my aches.

All of these memories,
are held so close, so that only I may see.

Nights now filled with tears,
aching only for your touch.

Broken hearts, they say,
will always heal,
yet for me that isn't such..

The burning hurts me, here,
you're always on my mind,

Yet I wonder now, where could we be,
if I had stayed behind

No more broken hearts,
to you I seem just fine

But all you have wasted,
was everything of mine.

Help me now,
to understand your choice,

I am screaming at your heart,
so loud, I have no voice.

You leave me with my misery,
a certain ally as I comprehend

But remmeber that I loved you,
though to you I was just a friend.

Fate holds on tight
As we stumble on through life
