Running with the wind through the dead of night,
As fast as I go, I fear to take flight,
With wings like and eagle, but eyes like a bat, unable to see tis' what I call that,
To be the last one of thy kind,
With nobody hear by my side,
Living in a darkened worl of fools,
My only friend tis' the night,
Which I unknowingly run through,
Tis' all the same to me,
Of course, I can tell, because it gets hot as hell when the sun comes out,
Then tis' time to run again,
Run to seek shelter follow the wind,
Then run, run, and run yet again until I'm running with the cool winds through the dead of night,
Now as fast as I go,
I dare to take flight,
With wings outstretched,
Blind eyes open wide,
I fly high into open skies,
Riding on the wind through dead of night,
Fly and fly do not fear to take flight,
Fly and fly through my two friends night and sky.
