Onward, my friend, onward!
For we cannot stay here,
In this desperate place
Where our minds rot
And our feelings chafe
Onward, I say!
Off to new beginnings
Where all the world is fresh
And not a living mesh
Onward! Onward!
Always gallop onward!
For behind is worthless
And this barren land is heartless
Onward! Onward!
Take my hand!
And come with me to the chosen land.

Sometimes I enjoy a poem for what it means, how it is presented, its rythm, or for the words themselves. This one I liked for all three. I like your work, the poems I read of yours tonight were all worth it.

Rcallaci, thanks for the comments, though the creative roll happened a while back. These are some I found whilst flicking through the old pieces.

And yes, I noticed that too Penelope. If you lot didn't know me better, you'd think i'd come over all religious with that last line :o
