*(My very first and only villanelle poem composed during moments of silence, stillness, and serenity during the evening of 08 May 2018. The topic of this poem is manic-depressive hyper-sexuality, which is a decidedly disturbing—and taboo—symptom of full-blown, bipolar mania that is little acknowledged by this puritan society of America and therefore not openly discussed by the public.).

Sensual pleasures come from going manic;
it's like a rush of sultry elation
from this mania that's so fantastic.

Loins and feelings afire and orgasmic,
and prostrate with this ardent sensation,
sensual pleasures come from going manic.

Desire peaks, then runs wild and Jurassic,
and hunts for racy gratification
(like this mania that's so fantastic).

To burn with unrestrained lust is horrific;
but the rich highs of this fond condition
mean dark pleasures come from going manic:

like being with the whorish and the addict,
or making love with lust and possession
(like this mania that's so fantastic).

So, call it mad, or call it poetic;
but this disease becomes a damnation:
sensual pleasures come from going manic,
because this mania is so fantastic!
