Though I've yet to gaze on your unseen face
or hear the sound of your imagined voice,
a tryst is what I long for and embrace
to be with you despite our dearth of choice.
In love with you, I picture an image
(of you)—a sparkling vision of flesh-white
and blonde; an Angel of graceful carriage
and luminous, gold halo that's sun-bright.
Enrapt and o'erjoyed with the thought of you,
I'd circumnavigate both space and time
to have you in my orbit and my view:
no greater love can I express but in this rhyme!
So, my beloved, we'll wait and trust in this,
that soon we'll raptly know united bliss.
