--Just a pebble found--

Just a pebble found on roadside,
glittering in afternoon light,
small cracks become runes when you’re looking.

A short message from before history,
at least not another warning
how world will end.

Those piled where ground’s wet
and snails crawl hurriedly over them
not wanting to feel or taste their pain.
