How is it that at times a man can turn into an animal, and yet gaze at you as a man, with a look full of kindness and wisdom, with the gaze of an ancient sage ?! In a moment that stretches like eons, you then see that you are that very man - and you stare down the beast that stares you down right back, from the other side, from the animal you just were ... You realize, at once that you are one and, momentarily, traversing souls do meet between worlds. I believe that man is at play with such moments throughout his life, and his fate constantly hunts him down... I, like a ghost, do flutter between the one and the other. When great pain my cup fills and tears like wild blades pierce, then awakens the "animal" in me ... and then to fight I take! Though the animal lays waste to the world around me, the man in me restrains me from destroying myself ... And ever will I walk the darkly lit borderlands between this world and that
