On September 13th Barbara DeCesare will perform her work at the Midtown Scholar. The Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel hosts this event as part of Poetry Thursdays a long-running reading series.

DeCesare, an excellent writer and powerful reader is author of several books of poetry (Jisaweyesore and Silent Type) and has had her work published in Delaware Poetry Review, DIAGRAM, Tarpaulin Sky, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Alaska Poetry Review, Gargoyle and many others.
She has also recorded an audio CD (Adrift) and Dreamhouse, a musical based upon her work, ran in the Midtown International Festival in New York City.

Poetry events, always Free and open to the Public, meet every Thursday evening, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore, 1302 North Third Street, (across from the Broad Street Market) Harrisburg, Pennsylvania 17102. Ph: 717.236.1680.
