The Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel is pleased to present D. M. Spitzer as feature reader on Thursday, May, 25th at The Midtown Scholar Bookstore.

D.M. Spitzer has a background of graduate studies in liberal arts, philosophy, classic literature, and writing. He published his first book, A Heaven Wrought of Iron, in 2016. This collection of poems seeks to engage with the Greek Odyssey in a responsive and conversational manner.

In published numerous works and poems, he strives to interact within the realm of comparative literature, general philosophy, and early Greek thinking.

Currently living in Pennsylvania, he studies comparative literature as a doctoral student at Binghamton University.

An open reading will precede the feature presentation held at The Midtown Scholar from 7-9pm on Thursday at 1302 N 3rd St, 17102. For more information,717.236.1680.
