So it was a Sunday and I had a toaster that I had given to repair at a shopping mall hence I ventured out.

Here is the conversation at the Customer Service Desk :
Me - I have given a toaster to repair/replace and am here to collect.
Guy- You will have to check upstairs with electronics section.

Conversation at the electronics section :
Me- Blah Blah Blah
Guy- That lady manager who took your toaster is on leave today , we dont know where she might have placed your toaster , Did you get a call that your toaster was ready ?
Me- No
Guy - Hmmm , you need to speak with the customer service desk.

Conversation at the Customer service desk :
Me- Blah Blah Blah
Guy- I will give you the phone number of our desk and you can call us before you come in next time !

After this harrowing experience with my nerves toasted I sauntered into another nearby shopping mall to grab a bite. It was crowded , well thats an understatement it was overcrowded.

I am in Mumbai as of now and this is a mall in the suburbs, it was overflowing with people.Every step on the escalator had atleast two humans on it.The alleys in the mall were full of people of all shapes and sizes.

Having visited the same mall on weekdays I had no idea that it would get so overcrowded on Sundays. Funny thing is the shops were empty all the crowds were in the alleys , escalators and lifts.

Wanting to eat I went to the food court and I was stunned , there were at least 30 people waiting in line at Mcdonalds , there were no available places to sit
at KFC ( Kentucky Fried Chicken)and almost every restaurant that served at reasonable prices was overcrowded with people.

This is a rather large food court and had enough tables, chairs and sofas to sit atleast two thousand folks and they were all occupied. It seemed funny to me that the food court was full of people and there were no shoppers in the shops.

In fact I observed almost no one had a shopping bag and it seemed to me that all the folks visiting the mall had come straight to the food court or were window gazing in the alleys of the mall or taking up seats in the alleys.

I almost burst out laughing having never seen such a weird spectre before. Anyways I did grab a vegetarian burger at KFC and went out on the roads of Mumbai which again are full of people of all shapes and sizes.

Adios !

modern life
Yes, modern life has become very strange. Thumb-zombies walk the streets, young men walk around with their pants down, people go to malls to do anything but shop.
