sometimes I'm filled with an emptiness
every vein and artery is full of a hollowness
my heart beats in a vacant cage
I can feel the darkness swimming in my brain
I fill my stomach with Prozac
but nothing changes no it's still the same
and I try to stop to hit pause
but everything just speeds right up
going too fast it's going too fast
the world spins I'm sea sick
get me off this ride
get me off one last time
I just need a minute to catch my breath
just a minute just a minute to rest
to remind myself of all the positives
and tell myself over and over again
that life isn't pointless
that this world isn't empty and hollow
