Some days seem to be strangely ominous
and Iím reluctant to leave my comfy bed;
therefore, I clothe myself with Truth,
since I have nothing to fear or dread.

The inspirational courage of Your Word,
girds the frailty of my spiritual essence.
Wherever, I willfully determine to go,
Iím comforted by Your nearby Presence.

Despite the many, evil distortions,
created by human desire and wickedness,
Iím not motivated by fear, circumstance
or doubts, as Iím striving for holiness

that only You, provide with assurance.
I overcome all obstacles set before me-
knowingly sated, with the fact that
my saved soul isÖ never in jeopardy!

We're not in the clear just yet, I'm afraid
I would need this explained to me further. Not the poetic aspect of this piece, more the literal connotations.

The inherant "evil" that exists today, is viewed by most as free will, freedom to choose. Heaven forbid that sin be defined as what it actually is- a blatant disregard for morality and spirituality. That said, I get what you're proclaiming here (I think). I'm just not sure that you're out of the woods just yet, as it were. I don't think, in our imperfect state, that a solid declaration of "nothing can stop me because I have the fortitude of god" is sound. I mean, I can see that coming to fruition, but the road ahead is rot with more than your imperfect existence can bear. I'd favor the side of caution.

Listen, I could be way off base. Please accept these comments as my opinion, only.

It Takes Work to Shine
You were handed a polished Soul...
It's up to you to tarnish
