Times are tough,
It just keeps on snowing,
My back is aching,
My toes almost frozen,
And, if, I don't find my
Mom's car soon
Through all this snow,
I am sure that
Her car will soon need towing.

Times are tough,
And it sure ain't right,
My friends and family
Are dying all around me,
And I feel like crying.
But, I am not supposed to cry,
But, I don't care,
Because here on this earth,
I see tragedy everywhere.

Times are tough,
And it sure ain't right,
With so many workers
All over the world,
Losing their jobs
Almost overnight.
So many people
Hungry and poor,
So many people hurting
And no one has found the cure.
So many tears flood the bed sheets,
As good people
Ponder their plight,
Times are tough,
And it sure ain't right.

With medical bills
Flying sky high.
And we are fighting
Two wars where
Far too many people will die.
Homeless people flood our streets,
Looking for something to drink,
Just dying to eat.
Times are tough,
And it just ain't right.

We are told that
We must be leaner,
We must be strong,
We must be patient,
But, most of all,
We must move along.
While, too many people
Die without hope,
And too many people will die
Who think that their lives
Went up in smoke.

Times are tough,
And it just ain't right,
But, change don't come overnight.
So until the bitter end
We all must fight!
As we face life's challenges everyday.

Times are tough,
And it just ain't right.

I just hope...
That it doesn't snow tonight.
