If I could travel back into times past
to see the truth of history and such,
I don’t think I would want my stay to last.
I simply couldn’t stand to stay there much.

The future, many generations hence,
would only make me want to return here.
Where once I had been sitting on the fence,
I’d come with sure decisions and no fear.

Historical or upcoming events
have consequence just in relation to
my verification or prescience,
and all I’d gain would be a greater view.

If time travel were possible somehow,
the most important time would still be now.

The quickest way for me to learn something new is to first understand why I'd like to learn it.
