Two thousand years ago if you were a Christian, you were persecuted, or you even faced death
Roman Ceaser, Nero, I believe was the worst of the worse to the Christians as he loved to watch them die
So many because of this madman they took their final breath
A lot of the leaders back them killed without a justification as to why.

Christians at times have been radical and crazy in the things that were done to others
The witch burnings are a prime example of the things that were done by Christians in the past
That was a sad time because under God aren't we all sisters and brothers?
Today we say Muslims are the infidal, but at times Christians have done terrible things their thought throughout history would last.

But today we are suppose to be civilized, regardless of the belief of a person
I just wish the world was this way, a place of peace and brotherhood
But today if you are Christian you could face decapitation, something like this to one it only stuns
Hard to believe something like this in this day and time, we need to live in peace as we all should.

Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist, who cares what is the right way
Under God, think about it, aren't we one big family?
I think each person thinks their is some kind of intelligence out there, all of us if near death, we all talk to him without delay
So in peace we should strive to be, looking into a person's soul, not pass judgement on what we see.

We are supposed to be civilized, if this is so, then why persecute or judge anyone?
There are enough problems in the world today without killing some one because they don't believe as you do
It would be so nice to wake up one day in peace and harmony as we see the rising sun
But then there are those that think, they must extinguish the infidel, they are right, and the others their choices are very few.

I think anyone can be an infidel, if we do not live in peace hand in hand
Instead of fighting each other, we should ban together and search for an answer to all the problems of the world today
What does it solve to spill someone's blood on the sand?
Banning together, a world in unity would be wonderful, I guess a dream we all reach for without delay

Not poetry but perspective
This made me recall 'Those about to die' written by Daniel Mannix. You might enjoy it.
