For Mankind's Sake

Look at us now, are you ashamed to be a part of the world as we know it?
All the chaos, the warfare, the hatred, anything but what we need, it is called peace
Brotherhood, tranquility, these are things of a past, but now we are on the edge of a big dark pit
Where did all this come from, in this dangerous time, we need some kind of peaceful release.

But where in this topsy turvy world do we find such a thing?
Something to calm mankind, something to erase the hatred, and the power hungry
But it seems these days nothing like this exists, we look high and low and hatred all we feel is it's sting
We need to come together in unison, and we pray someone hears our pitiful plea.

A world, I think in which we are living the dreaded end of days
Life, I think, as we know it may be coming to a horrific end
We need to come together in brotherhood without delay
Bury the hate and the hunger for power, before it is too late and our ways we cannot mend.

We sit back and watch as our world dissolves a little every day
Telling ourselves the end will not happen, we are to intelligent to destroy our world
We are in such dire straights we need to be serious, there is no time to play
Our home, our country, our planet, in time there will be no more world.

Because of our own misgivings we are on the road to destruction
And we sit and watch thinking this will never happen to us
We need to settle these things with logic not a bomb or a gun
Hurrying to settle these problems, with tranquility and brotherhood, this is a definite must.

So do we just sit back and do nothing or do we try to salvage what is left?
There has always been chaos in the world but I think today, well it takes the cake
If we do not try, we are at a big loss, because nothing will be left
Look around my brothers and sister, we need to act Now, for mankind and it's sake
