We’ve learned that we're not the center of things
and that we circle a moderate star.
These don’t compare to what tomorrow brings.
We’re about to discover how small we are.
When the world “became round,” our vision changed,
slowly at first, increasingly profound,
what concepts we still held were rearranged,
if they weren’t completely turned up-side-down.
Our solar system shrank – of many, one.
Our galaxy then got lost in the crowd
of hundreds of billions. Now we’ve begun
to learn other dimensions are allowed.
We may soon map another universe,
enlarging our view – for better or worse.
The quickest way for me to learn something new is to first understand why I'd like to learn it.
