Christian W. Thiede, longtime member of the Almost Uptown Poetry Cartel [almostuptown.com] hosts its readings every Thursday eve at the Midtown Scholar in Harrisburg, PA.

His latest work, a new collection of clever, quirky flash fiction pieces-- Death and Deception Shake Hands, five flash-fiction stories(postDada Media, 2014), debuted with a reading by the author in April at the 34th Annual Wildwood Writers' Festival.

Word-on-the-street has it that he's currently putting together a new collection of poetry rumored to be about sex, love and relationships-- maybe a little bite of rock & roll. Ouch (love hurts)!
Thiede's been pubbed in the Pitkin Review, Aquila Review, Cerebral Catalyst, Zygote in My Coffee, Bent Pin Quarterly, Harrisburg Review, Little Tin Oven, Fledgling Rag, and more.
He's published two chapbooks of poetry: Gazing Behind My Eyes and Random Poems Now With Homes, and has performed in venues all around the USA: NYC, Boston, DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Montpelier, Madison, Minneapolis, Boulder, Denver, Anchorage, and Hilo.
