The newly fallen snow,
Mark this Christmas day,
With all the angels in heaven,
Smiling , as,
Mary is in pain,
As, Christ is born.

Today,
Brothers and sisters argue,
And mothers and fathers
Still scold their children,
No matter how old they are.
As, the Christmas bells ring,
And, as, loneliness spreads
Like wildfire,
Among the sparkling Christmas lights,
And as, Mary is in pain,
As Christ is born.

People of all races,sizes, colors,
Needs, hopes and dreams,
Try to sing Christmas songs,
Within a group of strangers,
Who become one voice,
Though, some forget all of the words.
In the frozen December wind.
While we sing,
Most of us smile,
Though our hearts and souls
Are full of doubt and anxiety,
And we feel so tired from
Our having to carry the world
On our backs.
But, we all know,
That this is our world to carry.
As, Mary is in pain,
As, Christ is born.

On this Christmas Day,
We look toward the bright star
That will lead us out of
Our own dark shadows.
We are cold.
So, we reach out to each other
For warmth, love and affection.
But, our embrace is not often accepted.
But, we must still go on.
We have no choice.
We all need warmth, love and affection.
As well as,
Hope and joy.
And that is why Mary gave birth to Jesus,
Accepting her pain
To give us all joy.
To give us Christ's eternal love.

So, that it is,
This Christmas,
That we gather together,
To seek each others
Love and warmth,
Singing Christmas songs,
In the newly fallen snow.
