tomorrow is the pinksterfest
and all that it implies
the primping of the tulip queen
the waxing of her thighs

the shaping of her pubic mound
(let's hope that it's brasilian)
for from the farthest hilltowns
they'll be gathering in their millions

oh, the clamoring of the public
as the mayor's lashed to the stake
and then, of course, the funeral, the burial and the wake

tomorrow is the pinksterfest
let each artiste and vendor
display their wares and bright tattoos
without regard to gender

oh, the merriment of the people
as the mayor's drowned in the lake
and then, of course, the funeral, the burial and the wake

tomorrow is the pinksterfest
let albany rejoice!
may all the townsfolk dance and sing
in one resounding voice!

now the mayor's spreadeagled on the lawn
and left thereon to bake
and then, of course, the funeral, the burial and the wake

Pinkerfest surprise
I looked it up on the web and there really is a Pinkefest in Albany, with tulips! Who knew? You're not the mayor, are you? I could find no reference to mayoral abuse connected with the festival, so I had to ask. You East-coasters have some strange rituals, but the poem is a fun romp.
