A/N:The ledgendary Jersey Shore was recently ravaged by Super Storm Sandy, Crushing almost everything in its wake, including Homes, Businesses, landmarks etc. After several months of concerted effort on the various towns, and much needed help from all over the country, most homes and businesses have been rebuilt and this Memorial Day weekend saw the opening ceremonies for the summer season, when the nay sayers said it couldn't be done. Come help the mom and pop businesses to recover their losses and enjoy the Jersy Shore once again! Weloome to one and all!

Welcome To The Jersey Shore!
(Bye Bye Sandy!)

Like Phoenix rising from the ashes
Up from the chaos and mud
Despair turned to hope
Determined to conquer the flood
Neighbor turned to Neighbor
Hero’s were born overnight
Braving torrential winds
Saving lives left in it’s flight!

The storm ravaged and plundered
And raged for all its might
Children were left homeless
And frightened in the night
Parents searched for loved ones
Fearful for their plight

Huddled in the darkness
Waiting for morning’s light

Boardwalks became mere splinters
Waves…4 ft high
Homes buried by sand
As furniture hurtled by
Many prayers were sent to Heaven
Many promises were made
“We will not let this conquer us
Nor let helplessness pervade”

The storm has long passed by
Some Landmarks sunken and gone
But by neighbor helping neighbor
And refusing to give in
The Shore…like the Phoenix
Rose triumphantly again
So come on down and see us
The Shore stands proud and tall
Our sunny beaches beckon you
Welcome to you all!
