To gain advantage there are many tips
received by competitors on the scene,
like Vaseline® between the teeth and lips
suggested for a pageant beauty queen.

Weightlifters should remember to stretch first.
A student should be rested for a test.
If running, don’t forget to slake your thirst.
A hearty breakfast is always the best.

Check your oil and your tire pressure
if racing cars, or you’ll end up walking.
Always cook with the foods that are fresher.
When your foot lands in your mouth, stop talking.

Although this last won’t win a loving cup,
this is life’s greatest lesson: “ Just shut-up.”

The quickest way for me to learn something new is to first understand why I'd like to learn it.
