Last dog day

I claw at the scent of a soggy
thunder head. And it growls, menacingly;
as to ruffle a fire. Itís precious
in a lonesome Texas way
out here among the morning sky.
Oh how itís precious in a wag my tail
and wish this is all in a dog day.
For everything.
Is illuminated
