Open Pit

Heaven quakes as death draws near
As Halloween bring back its fright,
Lifting the veil where demons spawn
Lets Hell free to rape this night.
Occult terrors from the pit
Who wear the devilís mark
Eagerly their victims seek
Enveloped by the dark.
No hope, nor faith, nor charity can stop this damned insanity!

It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past.

My apologies,

I usually only post 'fresh' work on Lit but have a lot of my other work on my own site 'www.rhymingpoet.co.uk' also.

I had decided to post some of my older un-posted poetry and actually did a search to see if this was already posted and never found it.

I will have to more diligent in future!

Ivor

Ivor Revisited
By all means Ivor...please repost the old ones...I have on occasion, if it suited the moment...or...more likely...my muse has deserted me for a younger chick!

Re-reading old posts...especially the ones you first posted here can be a delight...I always get more out of a poem, the more I read it...and as for the humourous ones...they are the best and should be reposted so that the newer poets can read them.

We never tire of you Ivor...keep 'em coming!

Hi Ivor

You have two followers on your site..... David and me.

Don't all rush in too quick but here is the link again.

I cant imagine why Bea isn't a follower.....

BTW Ivor (sorry for the abbreviations Lucie) I cut and pasted your Halloween into a browser...just to check for plagiarism as one does (AS IF !!!) and it brought up the original James thread you had posted on

Hey Eric!
Sorry Eric...I just never noticed that link was there...I'm surprised, as anything with Rhyming in the titlw usually gets my attention.

Will go check it now!

Ivor and Eric.
Ok Ivor...I just visited briefly (it's 7AM here and I haven't gone to bed yet!)

I have to tell you...of what I had a chance to read...my favorites were Insanity and Path of Life. The latter is my mantra also and what keeps/kept me writing.

My only question for you is that there is no place to leave a comment on them so I'm doing it here. Loved both of them...can't wait to read more my friend!
