Heavenís Staging Post

It seems that folk may disagree
that heaven is just a queue,
so maybe I should tell it straight
and let the truth shine through.

I know that ignorance is bliss,
but challenged in this way,
I really think I now must tell
the things most dare not say.

Iíve entered realms beyond the veil
where nought but souls abide,
but most like me will tell you true
Ďtis not an easy ride!

Harps and Wings Iíve seen them not,
though love abounds for sure,
but so does hate and fear and rot
and things that all abhor.

Demons, devils, evil souls
whose hatred drives their needs,
where only by your spiritís strength
can one survive their greeds.

Entities within these realms
could not in flesh carnate,
but feed upon the souls of those
for whom they lie in wait.

Yes, also there are places where
true peace and love abound,
where spirits rise above mankind
and paradise is found.

Our earthly life, Iíll state once more,
is where we strive to find
the place we wish within our mind
that matches our own kind.

And when we die there is no doubt
when standing in the queue,
the others standing by your side
will be the same as you.

A Ďlifetimeí is where we can learn
the place that we belong,
and only when we truly know
will death end lifetimeís song.

Heaven or Hell your final choice,
you earn it here on earth,
but Ďtwix the training sessions
you just wait for your rebirth!

Heaven's Queue!
Oh my dear friend...this was worth waiting for...for sure!

Where have you been hiding...We'e missed your insightful and wry humour...and I have missed sparring with my old rhyming partner in crime!

Please say you are back with us for awhile and not disappearing into the ether again!

Just hope I'm heading for the right queue!

Sets a low standard and fails to achieve it

I suppose in reality we are all responsible for living a life to meet our own expectations

Sets a low standard and fails to achieve it ?

Looking back (and conveniently forgetting the hard bits) I reckon I did pretty well.....

Rather enjoyed the roller skates when I realized a Rolls Royce was a little out of my range (that's a deliberate lie since I worked on Rolls Royce engines for a considerable number of years) OK maybe the inflatable boat when a Yacht (Big Yacht... before I have to correct myself again)was not an option....

Then onto Heaven.... bloody hate exams.... I reckon I could be mopping the toilets out up there......somebody has to do it.... but betcha I still have a big smile on my face.

Wonder if life always did revolve around a measuring stick.

The Grass is Greener?
Wherever we go we queue to get back
for it always seems better
t'other side of the track.
But take it from one
who's been there and back.
We all are much better
our side of the track!

It's easy to get there
and go where we please,
but when we then stumble
and crawl on our knees,
we then really know
just where we belong,
but alas to get back
will now take us so long......
