I stand in the shadows,
I reach for the light,
But, I am confused,
Lost in an unending night.
My stomach is growling,
Corns are sprinled on my feet,
I am lost and unwanted
Seeking solace and relief.

My heart is so empty,
I no lovely woman to kiss,
Who will tell me about her day
And her toughts I hope that
I won't be too quick to dismiss.
I stand in the shadows
And I reach out for the sun
Or, better yet,
For my woman who is
Hotter than the sun.
