Stranger to the crowds
Existence within a community of the Proud
Empty from the Arbitrary nonsense
You place a hand on pretense

Learn the culture of the mindless
Yearn the creature of the blameless
One Two and a Jagged Blade
Three Four to a Silver Spade

Split these emotions with a beat
Admitting that once had defeat
Strangers to come to the distance
Knowing I only had one Stance

Listen to my anger in conscienceless
Dragging Violins pace from being emotionless
Mirrors reflection projected the negative
Swept up the acts that were positive

Spreading out thinner than once known
Follows to a path that is blown
Leading back to a stranger
In a Society of anger

Rap and HIp Hop
is what this reminds me of, with "arbitrary nonsense" and "culture of the mindless".

The "pop" culture has always been a temporary thing, but I sure wish the young men I see walking the streets would pull their briches up, wear a belt, put their hats on straight, tuck in their shirts once in a while and quit getting tattoos in their necks.

I guess I'm just an old fart now.....but I still didn't see the "fashion" of all that when I was in my 30's.

Anyway, good writing, makes a point I think

Thanks for the Feedback

I appreciate the feedback and yes we are getting old. I wrote some of this in a bar that attracts 21-25 yr old for what that's worth.

I do feel no matter what age I mingle with, there is this sense of Distance with my self. Perhaps its the reluctance to keep conversation about topics i feel are fluff.

Who Knows but I do like the way it came out.
