Listen to the Caesars….
Watch the world burn
Conquering our future
No reprieve and no return

Chorus
If we will not chart the course
If we never come together in force
Then we damn our coming history
To beasts who mount the pale horse

If we will not chart the course
If we never come together in force
Then we damn our children’s destiny
To beasts who mount the pale horse

Listen to the drumbeat
Count the worlds wars
Armageddon’s teasers
On they march through closing doors

Damn the Ceasers
Damn the rule of power whores

Chorus
If we will not chart the course
If we never come together in force
Then we give our coming history
To beasts who mount the pale horse

If we will not chart the course
If we never come together in force
Then we damn our children’s destiny
To beasts who mount the pale horse

RocknRoll
If blues would fit, then so be it, whatever works best. I'm not enough of an expert to say what genre would work best. In truth, I don't anything about music, notes or instruments. Couldn't tell the difference between a bass drum and a brake drum. When I wrote it, the melody and syllable count from Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" was kind of rolling around in my head. From that starting point I kind of deviated from the syllable count a bit and I continued to write the words. I don't know if it's considered plageristic to do lyrics that way or not. I used think to definately think it was but then I was told by a friend of mine that the Beatles did the same thing for a lot of their hits, so if it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me. If it were (hopefully) ever put to music though, I would take what I could get but prefer rock genre.
