THE MYSTERY OF THE DRAGONS
The young guy was on his way to the lake when it happened. I was sitting on the wall of the castle and saw it happening. The dragon suddenly appeared from behind the trees and stretched his leg. His claw reached the young man's right shoulder. He screamed. He was bleeding. The dragon began to scream. He had a very big mouth and I thought he was going to eat the young man. Suddenly, the dragon seemed to feel some pain. He fell. The young man fell too. Poor guy. Two young women who had heard the screams came to help him. I said one of my spells and the dragon fell into a very deep sleep. It wasn't dangerous anymore. Now, it was safe to go and help the young man. Those two women were unable to heal his wound. They looked worried.
"Help us." they asked me.
I had a look at the wound. It was quite serious. Then, I looked at the dragon. He was still sleeping. How did he get here? Dragons could not reach the elfcastle. It was impossible. But first, I had to help this young man. I said another spell and the wound got smaller. That was all I could do for him. There was still a big, red spot on his light brown shirt.
"Did you see it happening?" one of the women asked me.
"Yes. Suddenly, that dragon was there. There was nothing anyone could have done." I said.
Both the women looked worried. I was worried too. Was this dragon alone? Were we still safe here? I didn't know these two women. They explained they were travellers. First, we had to take the wounded man to the castle. I saw that he came to his senses.
"Can you walk?" I asked him.
He nodded.
"Yes. I think so... Thanks for the help, ladies."
I noticed that he had very beautiful eyes. I had never seen him before.
"Do you live at the castle?" I asked him.
"I arrived here today, milady." he answered. "I'm a student." Two teachers were heading towards us. One of them said a spell. I looked at his shoulder, but the wound didn't get better. It didn't change at all. I saw that the teachers were shocked. They tried it a second time, but again, nothing happened.
"I was unable to heal it completely. My powers are too weak." I explained.
"I'll be alright. It's much better already." the young man said.
"Something is wrong." one of the teachers said.
"I've never seen a dragon here before." I said.
"Exactly." the teacher nodded.
Suddenly, more people came to see what happened. They were all very curious. We all had many questions.
