Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! It also happens to be my Birthday so I took a few days off.

The beta of the new version is almost ready. The plan is to start inviting people sometime this weekend, most likely Sunday evening.

I'll post a notice on the new site as well, but remember, the new site will be beta at first and some things my break or be wonky from time to time as I'll be working it and adding new things all the time. I'll update often during the process to keep everyone informed.

Looking forward to letting everyone dig into the new system! More very soon.

Beta Soon would be a good Album or Band name too, lol. And happy Birthday! We have 3 July birthday's in my office at work. There are less than 10 of us here and 3 have July bday's. Something is in the water.

Birthday party with VCRs
I just can't help it. Every time I see beta I think about the VHS/Beta conflict and wonder about calling this beta and if there's any connection.

I've mixed feelings about the launch but nothing ventured ... nothing gained ... or so brave folks say.

Lol. Beta vs VHS! Classic technology rift right there. And the only reason VHS won? Porn.

I expect the new version won't be liked by everyone. There's just no getting around it. If some people decide it's not for them, I understand that and I'm willing to lose some people in order to gain some ;) That said, I'm hoping everyone at least gives it a try and sticks around long enough to learn how much more we can do with the new system before deciding. But some people don't like ANY change and I can understand that too.

I was one of the Beta crowd thanks to input from my techno savy brother who advised me it was superior. He wasn't into porn I guess. So perhaps a Beta loyalty from the past will encourage me to walk a new road and seek bold new horizons. Those who are too old to change should have a chat with Bea.

Patience Please!
As I said before...the only BETA I know was my recorder...which took over from my old wire recorder (I told you I was older than dirt!!) So please expect a lot of posts from me whining about my ability to know what you are all talking about.

Never wanted a computer till my brother forced one on me...and after a week of frustration...LOOK AT ME NOW!!! lol (Still whining occasionally!)

I'm sure we'll all get with it in time.
