The Mobile Moan
Convince yourself it's best
with communication so vital
To be continually in touch
can be just a wasted ritual
Battery must be fully charged
the contact list unending
Then who are we to worry
whatever needs defending
My sanity is keeping pace
world wide web unending
God created mobile phones
for mortals to befriending
My phone it does the lot
which is always far too much
It tells me where to go
just how to stay in touch
Diaries are kept in order
alarms warn and notify
It often makes me laugh
sometimes makes me cry
Apart from just the battery
it could do it all alone
Am I just a handy plug-in
for a wretched mobile phone
