For lack of a better venue I've decided to do my downloading here.

The other day I received a letter from a person [who shall for this moment remain nameless] and it's been a puzzlement why anyone in their right mind would explore an avenue that's so unlikely to create a satisfactory conclusion. I've no illusions about this person's intelligence but get vexed at the ludicrous conclusions they reach with no provocation. I worry how much sleep they lose over problems that don't exist.

Their disturbing inability to respect the decisions of another who chooses to avoid interactions with them for the sake of mutual harmony in public or private venues is perplexing.

Why would anyone send a letter to someone who has tactfully blocked their ability to leave comments on posts due to their inability to be objective? They've noticed I don't comment on their posts for equity reasons. Why would they state it's better not to leave comments and then revisit snarky ones they'd made in the past validating what up until the letter's arrival had simply been opinions of possible/probable suppositions? Why then proceed to revisit past comments after stating it's something better left alone?

Should I post this letter of unmitigated tripe that is contradictory? Would they recognize themselves without being named?

What logical person could behave in such a manner? Are they seriously expecting a reply?

Well, it ain't going to happen. Not because I don't love them anymore. It's just because any sincere response would be misinterpreted in a malicious manner.

Therefore, an announcement.

Any future letters to me from you will be posted publicly.

Please, get on with your life and know I'd prefer it if you were happy.

Lit's Golden Rule!
Diplomacy is the better part of valor...don't know whom you're speaking of...but we've had enough upheaval here in the past...let's not introduce it here again...not the time nor the place!

Turning the other cheek is Christlike Pen...thanks for not naming names.

Thanks also to the offender...who also did not publish the letter here.

Remember the Golden Rule here at Lit...NO PERSONAL TRASHING!!

no time or place for
I agree with you Bea and that's why there was fair warning on my part. This person does not want to be 'outed' and I know from past experience their bullying and harassment tactics are geared to single people out with stealth. I've never tolerated being harassed no matter what the disguise is. I recognize it for what it is. I like my personal space to be my own and respect other people's safe places. Please don't advise me on what I haven't needed to do yet because I've set the stage and the curtain won't come down unless the other person isn't able to respect my request.

BTW Bea
Personal trashing is done all the time by some parties. They choose to use the PM method to make accusations behind the scenes and behave as if this is perfectly okay because it's just between friends. Well, it's not perfectly okay to do that sort of thing. It's cowardly and if one can't face a foe then they should just shut up!

Not Me

Why would anyone send a letter to someone who has tactfully blocked their ability to leave comments on posts'

Just checking.... yep this posted so far it's not Bea or Me.

Yes PMs are a quandary..... to post or not to post?...... If unsolicited or hurtful.... do you post them in public or just forward them to your mates.....

Bea is a Gem..... Turn the other cheek (as the vicar said to the nun)Thanks to the Perpetrator as the Queen said to Martin McGuinness...if only by shaking hands... (Lucky for us Hitler isn't still alive!

Seems although we now have the ability to block posts on our own stuff there are some loopholes.... PMs and other peoples posts.

I got kicked out of Lit.org once upon a time and you couldn't wish to meet a nicer guy than me....... Full of useful suggestions and as honest as the day is long..... (I know self praise is no praise) Lit Org is one of the nicer sites on the WWW to boot.

Now I wonder who..........

PMs
You? How did you guess? Of course you send me letters all the time and I'm always wondering why. If I posted yours I'd have to correct all your spelling mistakes or do the 'sic' thingie. jk

I remember Ivor's attitude towards PMs and I never disagreed with him. Wasn't it Bob who said if you expected something to be kept confidential you should only tell yourself? I agree with that too. People who expect respect when they aren't willing to offer any should get hosed.

PMS ?

Wow we can blame PTSD..but PMS as well... I wonder I got PISSED a couple of times. I could blame that on abuse (alcohol)

Hate us or Love us we are who we are. It was all those Multiple Characters behind masks .... (where on earth did they find the time) I suppose they didn't type at one word per minute like wot I does........

Even spellcheck has given up on me.....

Not sure what Ivor is up to havn't spoken to him this week yet..... Maybe publishing two books of poetry were enough for him.....for now.

I take it you are back from the Frozen North !

home again
Yup! Back home from a spectacular holiday. Best one I've ever had in my own country but it's debatable that Newfoundland is really part of this nation. Even with the false accusations from Budget and some silly beggars from Air Canada ... oh ... and my suitcase tow bar breaking ... a wonderful time.

No Place Like Home
Welcome Home Pen...there's no place like home!

Although I will miss the (almost) dailiy updates of all the sights you were seeing...they were delightful!

Put your feet up...have a glass of wine. Now if only Bobby's place were still active, I could join you!

Slante`!
