Half a Brain is Better than No Brain


With this modern invention
maths sure takes a toll
No need for intervention
when life can be so droll
Park you bum on any chair
boot up a land of pleasure
Scarce any need for help
troll the web for pleasure
Left click you are on to it
right click copy and paste
Are your aims achieved
so many hours to waste
After all life is a dream
sit back do not despair
Education matters not
a halfwit shouldn't care

If you listen to me long enough I can lower your IQ

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I've got most of it left.

Let's hear it for all the half wits out here...

I take pride in the fact that there are often 2 or 3 week stretches when I don't "log on", except to do my banking. The bills don't wait and with people steeling male to wash checks it is much safer to use my banks online bill pay.

I think I actually was off line the last time for about 3 months -- had a lot of living to do.

but your poem points the other direction and I think hits that mark you aimed for.

I force myself to "Log On" at times it would be so easy to stay offline.

Bit like the TV I can just ignore that too.

Must be frightened of missing something... when you have to work for a living there is always some nerd around who will bring it to your attention if the world outside stops turning...

Me ... I gotta look for myself...
