MISSION
1

All was silent. I was alone here. The spell had worked. That was a relief. I was in the humanworld. First, I had a close look around. I was in a small room that was almost empty. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I had to use my magical powers to open it. Then, I went to have a look in the rest of the building. All the other rooms were empty. In one of them, I saw a mirror. I looked at my image. Yes, I looked very human. No-one would expect anything. I just had to make sure I didn't make a mistake. That would ruin everything. A few moments later, I left the building. Outside, I saw humans for the very first time. I tried not to draw attention, but that wasn't easy. I just walked and tried not to stare at the humans too much. I wondered if my mistress had felt like this during her first visit to the humanworld. I knew that humans have no magical powers at all, but I was nervous anyway because there hadn't been much time for practice. My mistress thought I had practiced enough, but I wasn't so sure about that. At home I had always used my magical powers at any time. I had never lied about my idendity. I had never pretended to be different. Suddenly, I saw a taxi. I took the note with the address from my pocket and headed for the waiting taxi. The driver didn't seem to suspect anything. Anyway, a few moments later, I was on my way to see my colleage.

My colleage opened the door. She was wearing a white shirt and black trousers. I didn't have to introduce myself, she knew who I was before I had said anything.
"Come in."
Once I was inside, I felt safe again. My colleage told me to sit down.
"As you know, I have lived here for centuries." she told me.
I nodded.
"Got used to be with humans." my colleage continued.
"Good."
"You might like them."
"Did you find any trace to the magic wand?"
My colleage shook her head.
"No."
That was not what I wanted to hear. My colleage smiled.
"I'm glad you're here."
"Yeah... I'm sure you do."
"Chear up. It's not that bad."
"I do feel punished."
"Don't. It's an honour. It means that the mistress has faith in you. She trusts you... and she counts on you."
"Yeah..."
"Come on. Smile."
But I didn't feel like smiling. If we didn't find the magic wand soon...
"Things have changed." I said.
"Yeah, I heard something about that."
"Finding the magic wand has been a challange, but we really need it now."
My colleage was shocked.
"The trolls have found the gate to the humanworld. We must find the magic wand before they destroy it."
"What?!"
"You didn't know?"
"No... I didn't."
"Oh, well, you do you now."
For a few moments, we just sat there and said nothing, but then, my colleage got up.
