Out of the Decaying Wood

New life appears in many guises
it plays in many ways
Countless shapes obtuse disguises
lying dormant then arises

Give an old dog a second life
morning dew good as new
Rest from vigour or strife
cuts through like a knife

Start afresh smell the clover
if life has gone move on
Burnt pages won't turn over
when your life is over

------
If you listen to me long enough I can lower your IQ

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I've got most of it left.
