Don't tell me this is rubbish
just read it and forget
I will think I am doing fine
with nice remarks I get

I know it don't take poets
to pen a rhyme in verse
Though oft I've seen high praises
for stuff I thought much worse

If you reply with something nice
while taking time to pause
Would I then just be obliged
to do the same on yours

Of course at different levels
replies are quite a treat
The higher class ignore the low
like beggars in the street

The truth then in the answer
for honesty is best
Lest all the stars just fade away
or put their pens to rest

If you listen to me long enough I can lower your IQ

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I've got most of it left.

I absolutely love this because it's just so ... well ... you at your best. Reminds me of those Albert at the Zoo songs ... you know the ones. A lot of the time I think you're just trying a bit too hard to be clever .. which I know you are ... but you followed through on this one and ended it just at the right time.

Thank you kindly for looking in and your all too generous comments.

I know lots of people read stuff on Lit (too late stop hiding I know you are there!)part of the litorg captivated audience. I read lots of stuff on lit too.

Sometimes the stuff takes my breath away... my eyes roll into the back of my head and I am lost for words to comment....

Your travel Log is Unbelievable... I actually had to follow your footsteps on Google Earth out into those frozen wastelands..... No wonder the people up there are so friendly...there is sweet FA else for them to do but watch Icebergs and be friendly.... Of course it's Horses for Courses and thank goodness we are not all the same or places like that would be deserted.... I just wonder how much money you would of saved in film alone if we hadn't all gone digital.

So honesty aside.....hrmmmm Since I have explained how everyone "Reads Stuff" next time pick somewhere there is a bit of flesh on the bones and weather that wont freeze a witches tit... maybe even some sunshine.

The Greek Islands might be Good Value for Money just now.....

But where on Earth could be better than Ladysmith?

The Greek Islands is my next faraway destination! At Sylvia's house in London there was a travel book with lots of gorgeous photos. I like cold places ... not sure why but it's about time I checked out places where mad dogs and Englishmen hang out.

Glad to know you're reading the travelogue ... sure beats jotting down crap on paper only to have it gather dust which is what's happening to my other travel tales.

I truly enjoyed this poem Eric and you know damn well I wouldn't say so just to be polite.
