Stay young while others grow old
remember the joy as a child?
Seeking out pleasure call it work
it was so much fun being wild

Youngsters now like wizened old folk
minds carry far too much weight
To run around not getting tied down
with education I fear is too late

Eyes wide open take in all your life
but never miss out on the fact
If it was up to me we all would be free
a virtue that most people lack

If you listen to me long enough I can lower your IQ

I came into this world with nothing,
through careful management I've got most of it left.

freedom as virtue
I agree that most people lack the virtue of freedom. I love that freedom is a virtue. I remember when you commented on my poem in the swimming pool and you said you didn't think I was really floating on a noodle. I was floating on a noodle, Eric, and at my age, I will wear a swimsuit and float freely on any noodle I want to in any swimming pool I want to, seen by any and all who want to watch and shunned by any and all who want to flee.

That's freedom. I think I have it.

If I were living in a country at war and having to answer to curfews and such, then I would not be free. But that's not the case.

As far as my education goes, it has freed me. It has most certainly not tied me down.

I'm thinking that the older we get, the more aware we become of the grim guy who reaps and that we must live NOW.

Yes I have heard the quote that education sets you free

Quite Often it's Who you know not What you know that matters

Private School Jerks
are doled out Perks
The classless society
must wait
It's who do you know
and where did you go
Some people will
find out too late
Thank mum and dad
they're not all that bad
Education was top on their list
They knew or they guessed
which places were best
Not down at the Pub
getting Pissed

I will have to look up what a noodle is because the ones I see on a regular basis are being eaten.

Being called a noodle is another.....
