Hello fellow Lit.org members,

I've been a member of Lit.org for a number of years. It was around the time I joined LIt.org that I began to write my memoir My Schizophrenic Life: The Road to Recovery from Mental Illness and it was published in 2010. It's available on Amazon in print and as an ebook.

As you may know I was a columnist for Majestic for a year and an editor for Majestic for 2 years.

I have some exciting news. I am the recipient of a prestigious award in BC. relating to inspiring others through my writing and public speaking.

Thanks Francisco!

I started writing my memoir around the time I joined Lit.org and through writing for Majestic I learned a lot too.

So part of receiving this award is about my talent to write.

So thanks to my friends at Lit.org who encouraged, helped me to improve, and supported my writing.

As an early fan, I knew your book would be a success...but your greatest achievment was being able to communicate with others similarly affected, and give them hope and encouragement.

I'm soo happy for you...hope your new book will be equally successful!

Thank you also for giving Lit.Org credit for contributing to your success...we are ALL indebted to her...but not enough people acknowledge that fact publicly!

Hey Eric

Thanks for your note!

I was interviewed for a Chinese newspaper but I don't speak or read Chinese. I read the English translation which was kind of rough because it was based on Chinese characters.

Next News 1130 AM and Global TV and a huge gala in May. After that, it's back to writing!

For those that don't have their very own copy of that book, shame on you!!!! I have an autographed copy and I've read it 3 times. It's an awesome book.

an honourable woman
Sandra, you know how thrilled I was to hear about this. It's such a treat to read about someone that I've actually met! Those who haven't met Sandra in person can believe she is written about with clarity. I was so impressed with how the reporter captured Sandra's personality I sent her an e-mail. To be touted in a large newspaper in the 3rd largest city in Canada is no paltry feat. I'm as chuffed for her triumph as I was when I lassoed an interview on CBC radio.
