I know that you are
an angel in disguise.
And that your true home
Is far beyond the skies.
I know it from the way
You look into my eyes
And see all that is hidden
From the prudent and the wise.
The way you read my mind
Like youíve known me from the start
The way you see the pain
That is buried in my heart.
I know that it must hurt you,
to have to hide your wings
But in order to pass as mortal
requires some painful things.
Yet when I look at you,
I know that you can fly.
And the way you see through me
Requires a special eye
Iím glad that you came down
just to see about me,
and wrapped me in those pretty wings
and gave me love freely.
My heart belongs to you,
I promise it always will.
For you and I share a love
that can make the earth stand still.

angel poems
Seems to me they always come across as a little too cute. This is well written for the topic chosen and the message is delivered ... can't say more than that.
