youthful idealists
at the dark labyrinth gates;
hopeful days indeed

purple thorns blossom
by the serene rail-road tracks:
vagabond roses

flaming cigarette
softens my mental daggers
seratonin spike

no strait jackets worn
by the "learned" insane, but
fast tenure and grants

blue jays chide at me
as I stand in confusion:
the silicon ape

Gladly I'd undrink
many a bottle, listen
to ancient advice

thousands of tongues
vibrate vast mother Earth to
discuss bread-making

the roses of Fall
burn like the brightest sunset
sinking to winter

Very well done haiku's...however, with the exceptional reference to the seasons, these were mostly senyru's...also well done!

Re: Haikus For Koo Koos
What a fantastic title for a new book!!! HAIKUS FOR KOO KOOS...I could go for this and write a Volume 2 after that. I will call Bobby Tojo tonight and see if he can co-write on it. Maybe he can get his Uncle Shirato to do a Forward for us.

I smell a NY Times Best seller here. Or at least a San Francisco Chronicle Top 10....

Thanks all for the read. "awhippingflame," corporate America has been raking in amazing profits in recent years and they haven't created many jobs. Capitalism is fine but it gets misaligned and has to be adjusted sometimes.
