It seems I am apologizing a lot. I am happily busy these days...a lot of exciting projects take so much of my time. I haven't been seen on the boards for awhile and I will endeavor to be present.I do want to let you all know that I do read all the poetry, so that I might draw attention to those pieces I believe to be the best for my Majestic column. I'm here in more than spirit - just not seen.

I have given the word set for October set a lot of thought. It is Halloween month so I think we should have the choice of two, or write two. I came up with this: 'SING THAT SONG' or 'ON A DARK ROAD'

For those who haven't done the SONG CHALLENGE before, here are the simple rules. Write the lyrics to a song using the word set 'SING THAT SONG' or 'ON A DARK ROAD' in the chorus, or in one line of every verse. You can use the melody to any song you know, it doesn't matter. We are interested in the lyric. That's it! Have Fun!
The best to you all.

ps. If you haven't checked out 'Majestic' this month you really should. I always highlight the best poetry,in my humble vagabong poet opinion, and every Song Challenge entry. Great stuff there, wonderful writing, from the whole staff. And thank you Sandra for doing such a fantastic job, as well as being a knock out writer!

Why is doing what you love the hardest thing to do? Is it because failing what you thought defined you would be too devastating a thing from which to recover? If so, we stay where mere accident has left us.

glad to hear you are "happily busy". I'm going to be extremely busy for the next 2-3 months (big move down to San Diego), but i'll keep these song prompts in my never know! Majestic was incredibly useful and entertaining this month, as always. thank you!

Van Morrison la la la
Man! Did this ever strike a chord! Wonder if I can get past the image of a movie finale with John Travolta and Maureen Stapleton or was it Edith? Can't remember but ... the music is there for sure!
